COMMERCE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce track and field team closed out the regular season on Thursday at Memorial Stadium by hosting the East Texas Quad.

POST MEET INTERVIEW
MEN
Trey Wheeler (Scurry Rosser) placed fifth in the javelin with a mark of 116 feet 7 inches (35.53m).
Tyris Jefferson (Tyler – Lee) took second in the long jump with a mark of 23 feet 6 inches (7.16m).
Gavin Edwards (Horace, N.D.) placed third in the shot put with a mark of 43 feet 11.25 inches (13.39m) and finished fifth in the discus with a mark of 136 feet 8 inches (41.67m).
Aiden Pelphrey (Princeton) cleared 6 feet 4.75 inches (1.95m) tying for second in the high jump, but took third based on attempts. Wheeler cleared 5 feet 8.75 inches (1.75m) for fourth.
At the track,
Cooper Miller (Sulphur Bluff) timed 10:55.95 for second in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. In the 1,500 meter run,
Joshua Schutter (Rowlett – Sachse) timed 4:00.01 for second,
Casey Novelo (Trinity) took third with a time of 4:00.91,
Alex Speer (Robinson) timed 4:04.66 for fourth and
Nicholas Deutsch (Frisco) timed 4:07.82 for fifth.
Cameron Macon (Dallas – Carter) timed 14.37 to win the 110 meter hurdles.
Adrian Taylor (Cape Town, South Africa) timed 48.45 seconds for second.
Delan Edwin (Castries, Saint Lucia) timed 10.17 seconds to win the 100 meter dash and
Ibrahim Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) timed 10.51 seconds for third.
Christian Bridgeman (Hazlet – Northwest Eaton) finished third in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.49.
Axel Paolucci (Lyon, France) won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.12 seconds.
Edwin won the 200 meter dash with a time of 20.64 and Taylor took third with a time of 21.76.
Speer won the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:18.50, Novelo timed 16:22.10 for second, and Lance Davis timed 16:32.07. The men's 4x400 meter relay squad of Speer,
Mykel Smith (North Crowley), Novelo, and
Yosef Abdulrazeq (Mansfield Legacy) timed 3:40.13 for third.
WOMEN
Celeste Sela (Mont de Marsan, France) won the long jump with a mark of 19 feet 2.75 inches (5.86m), while
Amaka Ezukanma (Fort Worth – Timber Creek) placed second with a mark of 18 feet 10.5 inches (5.75m),
Imani Taylor (Sulphur Springs) placed third with a mark of 18 feet 2.5 inches (5.55m).
Dejah Fuller (Waxahachie Life) took fifth with a mark of 17 feet 9 inches (5.41m).
Ezukanma won the triple jump with a mark of 41 feet 5.25 inches (12.63m), Fuller took second with a mark of 39 feet 6.5 inches (12.05m).
Trinity Hall (Commerce) took fourth with a mark of 35 feet 8.75 inches (10.89m) and
Goodness Okoh (North Garland) took fifth with a mark of 34 feet 9.75 inches (10.61m).
Veronika Kramarenko (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) took first in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet 6 inches (1.68m) and
Elizabeth Ortiz (Palacios) took third with a mark of 4 feet 11 inches (1.50m).
Over at the throws,
De'Maya Stokes (Dallas – DeSoto) placed fourth with a mark of 32 feet 7.75 inches (9.95m) in the shot put.
Nour Almasri (Mansfield Summit) won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:04.15,
Alondra Campa (Kaufman) timed 5:17.75 for third and
Elizabeth Ibarra (Haltom) timed 5:21.26 for fifth.
In the 100 meter hurdles, Ortiz ran a time of 15.01 for fourth. The Lions went 1-2 in the 400 meter dash with
Mariana Shostak (Lviv, Ukraine) taking first with a time of 54.31 seconds and
Naomi Ndukwe (Perserville, France) taking second with a time of 55.22 seconds.
Sofia Khenfar (Lyon, France) won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.89 seconds, while
La'Derria Myers (Ennis) took third with a time of 12.22 seconds. Almasri placed fourth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:28.33.
Khenfar also won the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.71 seconds and
Ashley Benton (Waxahachie Life) took second with a time of 24.78 seconds.
Bailey Neal (Sulphur Bluff) won the 5,000 meter run with a time of 19:36.75.
