FRISCO – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball alum
JJ Romer Rosario is back in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, after being acquired by the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League earlier this week.
Romer Rosario, a native of Hialeah Gardens, Florida, played three seasons for the Lions, and was a 12
th overall pick by the Mexico City Capitanes in last year's G-League draft. He averaged 3.0 points and 1.1 rebounds per game in five games for the Capitanes. Since graduating from A&M-Commerce, Romer Rosario has also played professionally in Puerto Rico.
As a Lion, he played 62 games and averaged seven points per game. During his senior season in 2022-23, he started 11 of the 33 games, scoring 8.7 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game.
He is the first Lion alum since Wayne Stewart Jr. to be added to a G-League roster. Stewart Jr. competed for the Sioux Falls Skyforce last season.
