FRISCO – East Texas A&M University volleyball player Kitana Tuufuli was named to second team all-Southland Conference on Wednesday morning becoming the first player to earn all-conference honors in the program's Division I era.
 
Tuufuli (St. Hedwig – Steele) was named to the seven-player second team all-conference as the Lions went 7-9 in SLC action to tie for seventh place. On the season, Tuufuli totaled 303 kills, 33 blocks, and hit .228 for the season. She ranks seventh in the conference with her 303 kills.
 
The sophomore outside hitter is the first all-conference honoree for the Lions in the Division I era and first since 2021.
 
The Lions clinched their 13^th straight trip to the postseason and are preparing to face top-seeded Southeastern on Friday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the SLC Tournament.
