FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Despite only a select number of student-athletes competing for the Texas A&M University-Commerce track & field team on Saturday at the Tyson Invitational, another school record was set by the Lions at the Tyson Indoor Track Center.

On the women's side,
Kiara Brown (Dallas – Carter) raced to a time of 23.34 seconds to finish sixth in the 200 meter dash, while
Leah Pettis (McKinney North) took 25
th with a time of 24.06 seconds.
Veronika Kramarenko (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) cleared 5-7.25 (1.71m) for fourth in the high jump.
Brown's season-best time in the 200 meter dash keeps here atop the Southland Conference and is also 33
rd in the country. It also breaks her own school record that she set last week.
For the Lion men,
Oguz Uyar (Turkey) timed 21.07 seconds for seventh place in the 200 meter dash. He is the Southland Conference leader in the 200 meter dash and ranked top 60 in the country.
