LUBBOCK – Cassandra Rendon and Tahje Parrish shined on Saturday as the Texas A&M University-Commerce track & field closed out the 2023-24 regular season at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout inside Fuller Track & Field Complex.
Most of the races on the track were contested on Friday night, leaving only a handful Lions to compete on Saturday. Results of the meet can be found

A&M-Commerce now prepares for the Southland Conference Championships on May 9-11 in Houston on the campus of Rice, which is also the last competition of the season.
Joe Cruz (Hillsboro) finished 12
th in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 17:42.64. The only Lion male in action in field events was Parrish (Picayune, Miss.), who took sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 48-2.75 (14.70m).
On the women's side,
Cassandra Rendon (San Antonio – Madison) threw 153-0 (46.64m) for third in the 'B' section of the discus, while
Romi Griese (Salzkotten, Germany) was 10
th with a mark of 130-11 (39.91m).
