Tina Samson set the school record in the pentathlon at the Robert Platt Invitational, while the Lion men recorded three of the four top marks in the 200 meter dash at the Stan Scott Memorial to highlight the action on Saturday.

MEN
The Lion men went 1-2-4 in the 200 meter dash in Lubbock.
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) timed 20.87 seconds to win the race, followed by
Ibrahim Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) in second with a time of 20.90 seconds, and
Oguz Uyar (Canakkale, Turkey) timing 20.95 seconds for fourth.
In Houston, three Lions competed in the 600 yard dash as
Christian James (Rosharon – Manvel) finishing fifth with a time of 1:13.87,
Jedadiah Stockton (Houston – Humble) finished in sixth with a time of 1:14.04, and
Chris Flores (Rocksprings) in seventh with a time of 1:14.36.
Josh Shanahan (Noosaville, Australia) timed 8:26.85 in the 3,000 meter run for eighth and
Nicholas Deutsch (Frisco) was 17
th with a time of 8:40.52.
Jonas Gran (Riehen, Switzerland) recorded 4,952 points for sixth in the heptathlon. He timed 7.21 seconds in the 60 meter dash, 22-4.25 (6.81m) in the long jump, 38-6.25 (11.74m) in the shot put, 5-6.5 (1.69m) in the high jump, 9.04 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, 14-1.25 (4.30m) in the pole vault, and 2:46.02 in the 1,000 meter run.
Joshua Kommer (Balingen, Germany) was ninth with 4,342 points. He had a time of 7.56 seconds in the 60 meter dash, 21-0 (6.40m) in the long jump, 35-5.75 (10.81m) in the shot put, 5-5.25 (1.66m) in the high jump, 9.78 in the 60 meter hurdles, 12-5.5 (3.80m) in the pole vault, and 2:48.46 in the 1,000 meter run.
Seniru Amarasinghe (Colombo, Sri Lanka) cleared 6-4.75 (1.95m) for 12
th in the high jump.
WOMEN
Samson won the pentathlon with a school record of 3,677 points. She timed 9.34 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, 5-2.5 (1.59m) in the high jump, 37-0.25 (11.28m) in the shot put, 18-5.25 (5.62m) in the long jump, and closed out with a time of 2:24.42 in the 800 meter run.
Magdaline Campo (Montpellier, France) took seventh with 3,401 points. She clocked in at 9.10 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles, 5-3.75 (1.62m) in the high jump, 29-6 (8.99m) in the shot put, 17-9.75 (5.43m) in the long jump, and finished the day with a time of 2:36.92 in the 800 meter run.
Cassandra Rendon (San Antonio – Madison) threw 44-11 (13.69m) in the weight throw for 13
th.
Veronika Kramarenko (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) cleared 5-7.75 (1.72m) to finish tied for the best mark in the high jump, but placed third based on attempts.
In Lubbock,
Amaka Ezukanma (Fort Worth – Timber Creek) jumped 38-2.75 (11.65m) for 13
th in the triple jump and
Dejah Fuller (Waxahachie Life) finished 15
th with a mark of 37-10.5 (11.54m).
On the track,
Leah Pettis (McKinney – North) timed 24.04 seconds in the 200 meter dash, finishing 15
th.
