AUSTIN and
SAN MARCOS – Anete Randma broke her school record in the women's 1,500 meter run to highlight Friday's performances for the East Texas A&M University track and field team, who competed both at the Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational.
Both meets conclude on Saturday.
TEXAS RELAYS
The Lions women's 4x100 meter relay squad of
Savannah Harvey (Shawnee, Kan.),
Roane Lion (Georgetown – East View),
Sydnee Wilson (Lewisville), and
Leah Pettis (McKinney North) won the timed final with a time of 45.88 seconds.
In the 'B' section of the women's high jump,
Magdaline Campo (Montpellier, France) cleared 5-6 (1.68m) to place in a three-way tie for fifth. Pettis came in 14
th in the timed final of the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.93 seconds.
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) took seventh with a time of 10.45 seconds in the men's 100 meter dash timed final.
The men's 4x400 meter relay missed advancing to the next second by less than a second as the quartet of
Philip Krenek (Prague, Czech Republic),
Myles Redding (Waco – University),
Armani Modeste (Castries, Saint Lucia), and
Jedadiah Stockton (Houston – Humble) timed 3:09.77 for 10
th.

BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
Justin Vincent (Agde, France) jumped 24-1.75 (7.35m) for sixth in the 'A' section of the men's long jump, while
Chandler King (Hughes Springs) placed 14
th with a mark of 23-2 (7.06m).
Wilson made her way to San Marcos and timed 24.34 seconds for 16
th in the women's 200 meter dash. Randma (Tallinn, Estonia) clocked in at 4:29.09 for third in the 1,500 meter run, breaking her own school record by eight seconds, that she set last week.
