COMMERCE – The East Texas A&M University track and field team continues its season at the David Noble Relays in San Angelo this weekend.

The first two days of the meet consist of the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon, with the rest of the meet contested on Saturday.
A LOOK AT THE LIONS
East Texas A&M competed in both the Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invitational last week, setting two school records during the weekend. The Lions 4x200 meter relay squad ran a time of 1:21.81, which is not only the fastest time in school history, but it is also the fastest time in the world this year.
Anete Randma (Tallinn, Estonia) broke her own record in the 1,500 meter run for the second week in a row, running a time of 4:29.09, which puts her fifth in the Southland Conference this season.
Ibrahim Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) ran a time of 20.09 seconds for third in the 200 meter dash invitational last week in Austin, which is second fastest in the country this season. He was named the Southland Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
Along with Fuseini,
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) is eighth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.45 seconds,
Kordarion Smith (Mexia - Lancaster) has a season-best time of 10.51 seconds, which is ninth in the SLC.
Armani Modeste (Castries, Saint Lucia) ranks sixth in the SLC with a time of 21.29 seconds in the 200 meter dash.
Myles Redding (Waco - University) ran a time of 47.70 seconds last week in the 400 meter dash, which is eighth in the SLC, while Fosuhene is 10th with a time of 48.11 seconds.
Casey Novelo (Bedford - Trinity) is sixth with a time of 14:53.70 in the 5,000 meter run, while
Jeremiah Garcia (Northwest - Eaton) and
Alex Speer (Robinson) are 8-9 with times of 15:04.45 and 15:07.51, respectively.
In the 110 meter hurdles,
Cash Goodman (Blue Ridge) is seventh with a time of 14.84 seconds.
Evan Ealy (Klein Collins) ran a time of 55.48 seconds last week in the 400 meter hurdles for 10th.
Nicholas Deutsch (Frisco) is fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:18.66 and
Noah Fernandez (San Antonio Central Catholic) is ninth with a time of 9:47.81.
The Lions are third in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 40.38 seconds and lead the SLC with a time of 3:09.77 in the 4x400 meter relay.
Xak Edwards (Greenville) has a season-best mark 6-3.25 (1.91m) for ninth in the high jump,
Justin Vincent (Agde, France) has a mark of 24-1.75 (7.36m) for second in the SLC and
Cedric Johnson (Naples - Paul Pewitt) is fifth with a mark of 24-0.25 (7.32m).
Tahje Parrish (Picayunne, Miss.) jumped 46-11.75 (14.32m) last week in the triple jump, which is ninth in the conference.
On the women's side,
Leah Pettis (McKinney North) is sixth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.93 seconds, with both
Savannah Harvey (Shawnee, Kan.) and
Sydnee Wilson (Lewisville) tied for eighth with matching times of 11.94 seconds.
Wilson's season-best time of 24.34 seconds in the 200 meter dash is fifth.
Cece Charles (Morne Fendue St. Patrick, Grenada) is 10th with a time of 56.15 seconds in the 400 meter dash.
Analice Pursley (Georgetown - East View) is sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.24.
Haleigh Risner (Winnsboro) is sixth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:29.08.
In the relays, the Lions women's 4x100 meter relay squad is 45.88 seconds and the 4x400 meter relay team is second with a time of 3:49.16.
Magdaline Campo (Montpellier, France) is tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 5-6 (1.68m) and Amaka Ezukanma (Fort Worth - Timber Creek) ranks 10th in the long jump with a mark of 18-1 (5.51m) and is fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 39-3.25 (11.97m). Romi Griese (Salzkotten, Germany) leads the SLC in the discus with a mark of 165-1 (50.31m) and Cassandra Rendon (San Antonio - Madison) is sixth with a mark of 157-3 (47.93m).
