COLLEGE STATION – Jenneil Jacobie set a school record on Friday for the East Texas A&M University track and field team in the high jump at the Charlie Thomas Invitational and jumped into top 10 in the country following her performance at the Fasken Indoor Facility.
Jacobie (Piat Grand Rivière, Saint Lucia) cleared 6-1.5 (1.87m) to win the high jump, which is a new school record, keeps her atop the Southland Conference rankings, and is now top 10 in the country. The mark is also ties the meet record for the Charlie Thomas Invitational.

Niamh Le'Gall (Wallasey, England) raced to a time of 24.31 seconds for 17
th in the women's 200 meter dash.
Jeremiah Garcia (Northwest – Eaton) came in 11
th in the men's 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:55.08.
Over in other field events,
Romi Griese (Salzkotten, Germany) threw 47-1.5 (14.36m) for 12
th in the women's weight throw.
Jeyden Coleman (Humble – Summer Creek) had a mark of 49-7.25 (15.12m) for 16
th in the men's shot put.
Collin Lusk (Fort Worth – Timber Creek) jumped 22-10.75 (6.98m) for 12
th in the men's long jump.
Calen Jones (Duncanville) placed eighth in the men's high jump, clearing 6-8.75 (2.05m).
The meet also included mutli events as
Tina Samson (Benin, Nigeria) took 12
th in the pentathlon. She scored 3,610 points.
On the men's side, Jonas (Riehen, Switzerland) has totaled 2,712 points through the first day of the heptathlon for 14
th, while
Joshua Nate (Geneva School of Boerne) is 16
th with 2,388 points and
Joshua Kommer (Ballingen, Germany) is 17
th with 2,374 points.
