HOUSTON – Eight events were won by the East Texas A&M University track and field team at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight on Saturday at the David Ley Track.
MEN
Kingsley Ayebide (Burutu, Nigeria) and
Jayshon Hardimon (Lake Dallas) went 2-3 in the afternoon section of the 100 meter dash with times of 10.68 and 10.73, respectively.
In the evening session,
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana) timed 10.44 seconds for second, followed by
Oguz Uyar (Cannakale, Turkey) in third with a time of 10.45 seconds.
Ayebide clocked in at 21.77 seconds for third in the 200 meter dash afternoon session, while Fosuhene's time of 20.66 seconds in the evening session was the top time, followed by Hardimon in eighth with a time of 21.67 seconds.
Joshua Nate (Geneva School of Boerne) had a time of 50.50 seconds for 10
th in the afternoon session of the 400 meter dash, while
Myles Redding (Waco – University) ran to a time of 46.42 seconds in the evening to win the section. Cameron Wooley (Frisco Liberty) clocked in at 48.83 seconds for seventh.
The Lions also had the top time in the 800 meter run in the afternoon as
Jeremiah Garcia (Northwest Eaton) ran a time of 1:56.81. He also ran a time of 3:59.39 in the 1,500 meter run for second.
In the 110 meter hurdles afternoon session,
Cash Goodman (Blue Ridge) clocked in at 15.34 seconds for fourth and
RJ Fannin (Princeton) timed 15.52 seconds for sixth.
Cheyne West (Rochester, England) had a time of 14.54 seconds for sixth in the evening session, while
Evan Ealy (Klein Collins) timed 14.60 seconds for seventh.
West also clocked in at 51.46 seconds for second in the 400 meter hurdles, followed by
James Curcio (France) in fifth with a time of 54.04 seconds, and Ealy in seventh, running to a time of 54.98 seconds.
The Lions' 4x100 meter relay team of Hardimon, Uyar,
Paul Lada (Chartres, France), and Fosuhene had the fastest time of 39.53 seconds.
In the field events, both
Jammel Ward (Royse City) and
Justin Vincent (Agde, France) had marks of 24-5 (7.44m) to tie for third, while
Jean Duparay (Servian, France) jumped 23-7.5 (7.20m) for eighth.
Joseph Rolland (Wills Point) had the top mark of 46-9 (14.25m) in the triple jump.
WOMEN
Sydnee Wilson (Lewisville) ran a time of 11.98 seconds for fifth in the 100 meter dash evening session, while
Hailey Ayers (Cypress Ranch) timed 12.39 seconds for second and
Lauryn Kosel (Waco – Midway) timed 12.77 seconds for eighth in the afternoon session.
The Lions had three runners in the top six of the 200 meter dash during the evening session as
Valentine Mesas (Divonne-les-Bains, France) timed 24.43 seconds for third, followed by Wilson in fourth with a time of 24.49 seconds, and
Cece Charles (Morne Fendue St.Patrick, Grenada) in sixth with a time of 24.89 seconds.
Mackenzie Giles (Allen) had a time of 25.30 seconds for eighth in the afternoon session.
In the 400 meter dash,
Niamh Le'Gall (Wallasey, England) had a time of 54.97 seconds for second, while
Mareva Heck (Marseille, France) timed 2:15.48 for fifth in the 800 meter run during the afternoon session.
Riley Roberts (Bullard) clocked in at 1:56.84 unofficially to win the evening session.
The afternoon session of the 1,500 meter run had three Lions in the top four with
Hannah Stuart (Canyon) winning the race with a time of 4:48.10, followed by Heck in second, timing 4:52.63, and Roberts timing 4:58.32 for fourth.
Kaat De Staercke (Zemst, Belguim) took ninth in the evening with a time of 4:35.07.
In the 110 meter hurdles,
Amara Idinna (Viry-Châtillon, France) clocked in at 13.71 seconds for second,
Sandy Sakyi (Bremen, Germany) timed 14.21 seconds for fifth, and
Bre'Anna Lacy (Waxahachie Life) had a time of 14.56 seconds for seventh.
Samarah Green (Abilene – Cooper) clocked in at 1:01.79 for third in the 400 meter hurdles. The Lions had the top time of 4x100 meter relay of 46.93 seconds, ran by Ayers, Lacy,
Blessing Samuel (Accra, Ghana), and Sakyi. The 'A' team of Giles, Le'Gall, Wilson, and
Leah Pettis (McKinney North) timed 56.46 for third.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Lions' squad of Green,
Roane Lion (Georgetown – East View), de Staercke, and Heck had a time of 3:50.60 for fourth.
Over in the field events,
Peyton Berry (Argyle) cleared 11-11.75 (3.65m) for seventh in the pole vault.
Kira van den Ham (Bunnik, The Netherlands) also cleared 3.65 meters, but placed 10
th based on attempts.
Samuel recorded a mark of 18-5.25 (5.62m) for fourth in the long jump.
Ella Patterson (Kingsbridge, England) threw 154-1 (46.98m) for seventh in the hammer throw.
