COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University men's golfer Janis Erll and women's track and field student-athlete Samarah Green are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week. 

Green (Abilene - Cooper) recorded a personal-best time of 1:01.79 in the 400 meter hurdles at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight for third at the meet, while rising to 10th in the Southland. The Lion track and field team take part in the Arkansas Twilight this Friday.  

Erll (Lich, Germany) earned all-tournament honors at the Southland Conference Championships for the men's golf team, finishing in a tie for fifth to close out the season.  

The Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year in partnership with Dixie Turman State Farm Agency.
