COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University has opened a national search for the next leader(s) of the Lion men's and women's golf programs following the departure of Brian Dolehide, who has accepted another head coaching opportunity.
Dolehide led the men's golf program for the last four years and added the role of director of golf in 2024, also serving as the head women's golf coach for the last three years.
Under his guidance, the Lion men's golf program recorded nine top six finishes as a team, including winning the LaTour Intercollegiate this past season, while the women's golf team recorded 10 top six finishes and finished as the runner up at the conference championships twice. Individually, the program has had five all-conference honorees, 19 conference all-academic selections, three all-conference tournament awards, one Southland Newcomer of the Year honor, and one academic Student-Athlete of the Year honor.
