Lions to Host Harding in Rematch Thursday Night

Commerce, Texas – Fresh off of an 89-87 last second win over Harding Monday night, the Lions and Bisons will hold a rematch Thursday night in The Field House with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.

- A&M-Commerce enters the game at 4-2 overall following an 89-87 win over Harding after De'Andre Carson nailed the game-winning shot an eight-day layoff ... The road win came after an eight-day layoff for the Lions.
- The Lions spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at the Holiday Inn-Airport where the team went 1-1 in the day two day tournament.  The Lions opened with a  77-62 win over Western State and ended with an 85-76 loss to host Colorado Mesa.
- Ronnie White currently ranks fourth in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game at 4.8 per game.
- The Lions are fifth in the NCAA in defensive rebounds per game averaging 33.4 defensive rebounds per game.
- The Lions had a record breaking 132-83 win over Huston-Tilloston ... The Lions set the school record for points in single-game in the win.
- Two Lions recorded double-doubles with Bryant Crowder scoring a game-high 28 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while Ronnie White hauled down a game-high 14 rebounds and added 15 points.
- White has recorded a team-high three double-doubles with all three coming in the last four games.
- The Lions opened the 2015-16 campaign with an 81-66 win over Oklahoma Christian before falling to Newman 89-79 in the second game of the season at the Heartland-Lone Star Challenge.
- A&M-Commerce returned seven players from 2014-15 ... Anthony Adams is the team's leading returning scorer after averaging 11.3 ppg and 3.8 assists per game a season ago.
- At 24-5 overall the Lions won 20 games for the first time since 2004-05 ... It's the second time under head coach Sam Walker and the 15th time in program history ... The Lions are currently receiving votes in the final regular season poll.
- A&M-Commerce is coached by Sam Walker in his 16th season at the helm of the Lions program. Walker the is the program's all-time leader in wins with 253.

A&M-Commerce vs. Western State and Colorado Mesa:  The Series
- A&M-Commerce and Harding have met four times with the Lions holding a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series.
- The Lions won the first meeting between the two teams 89-87 on  a last second three pointer.
- The first meeting came in the 1998-99 season with the Lions taking a 73-70 win ... Harding won the second game of the series 74-71 in 2003-04 with the Lions taking the last meeting on December 18, 2011, 82-67.
- Against current members of the Great American Conference, the Lions are 138-69 all-time.
 
About the Bisons
- Harding enters the game at 4-4 overall.
- The Bisons were riding a three-game winning streak after knocking off Oklahoma Baptist 79-65 in their last game ... Harding has also knocked off Southern Nazarene, 86-57, and Christian Brothers, 73-67, during the streak.
- Harding has played its last two games at home.
- Andraz Kavas leads the Bisons in scoring averaging 20.9 points per game ... Blake McNair and Jacob Gibson follow averaging 12.4 and 12.1 points per game.
- Kavas also leads the team averaging 6.6 rebounds per game.
