Commerce, Texas - The Lions start conference play on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27 in Lawton, Oklahoma against Cameron University.
 
The Aggies go into the series ranked third in the Lone-Star Conference with a record of 14-5 butting right against A&M-Commerce, who is ranked second with a record of 11-2.
 
In the 2015 season, the Lions played the Aggies a single doubleheader on March 11 with the Aggies earning the sweep. The two-game set was the first and only meeting between the two teams.
 
On Friday afternoon at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., A&M-Commerce will faceoff against the Aggies, who are on an eight-game winning streak following the Northeastern State Invitational. The only team that both the Aggies and the Lions have played is St. Mary's. The Aggies lost, 8-4 compared to the Lions who lost 12-2.
 
On Saturday, the Lions and Aggies meet up again with game times at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. for another doubleheader.
 
The Lions are coming off an exciting trip to California where the team went 2-0 against Academy of Art and 1-1 vs. Dominican University of California boosting the Lions overall record to 11-2 positioning them second in LSC standing right behind West Texas, currently the leaders in LSC rankings.
