Commerce, TX - The Lions come into the last Lone Star Conference series ranked right under Angelo State in the LSC standings. The two teams have similar records; the Lions are 15-13 in the LSC and the Rambelles are 13-11 in conference play.

The Lions have winning records in both conference and nonconference play. Nonconference play went well for the Lions; the team went 18-2 taking wins from Southwestern Oklahoma State, St. Edwards, Texas A&M-International, Black Hills State, Academy of Art and Dominican University.

A&M-Commerce needs 19 stolen bases to tie the LSC team record and 20 to break it. Lions have 161 stolen bases and the record is 180 currently held by TWU in 2011 under head coach
Richie Bruister.

The Rambelles went 16-5 in nonconference play taking wins against Texas A&M-International, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Adams State University and Fort Lewis College.

The NCAA South Central Regional Rankings were published for the first time this season only days prior to the Lions and Rambelles series kicking off. The Lions hold the five spot and the Rambelles hold the eight spot. The series comes at a unique time and both teams will be fighting to secure spots in the conference and regional tournament.
