RICHARDSON, Texas – A&M-Commerce athletics saw 150 Lion student-athletes named to the Lone Star Conference's Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2016 spring semester as announced by the league office Tuesday.
All told, 917 student-athletes have earned Commissioner's Honor Roll from the conference office.
West Texas A&M placed the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll with 174 members. Eastern New Mexico was second with 148 honorees, while Angelo State ranked third (116), and Texas A&M-Commerce was fourth (105).
Women's outdoor track and field led the list of perfect marks with 35, followed by women's indoor track and field with 34, football and volleyball with 27, women's soccer 23, and women's basketball 22.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
