COMMERCE – Two of the nation's top teams face off Sunday for a pair of crucial Lone Star Conference games, as No. 6 Texas A&M University-Commerce visits No. 10 Oklahoma Christian for a doubleheader.

RECORDS: A&M-Commerce is 25-10 overall and 18-4 in the Lone Star Conference. Oklahoma Christian is 31-5 overall and 21-3 in the LSC.
RANKINGS: A&M-Commerce is sixth nationally in the NFCA Division II Coaches' Poll, and Oklahoma Christian is ranked 10th.

The Lions are now ranked seventh in the LSC in hitting in conference games with a .311 average and offset that with a 2.25 earned run average, which ranks second in the league. Opposing LSC hitters are hitting .231 off of Lion pitching in conference play.
 
A&M-Commerce is also the best fielding team in the conference at .981, which ranks sixth in the nation. The Lions have also been aggressive on the basepaths, ranking ninth in the nation with 87 steals.
 
Madison Schaefer is the LSC leader in on base percentage at .549, which ranks 27th in the country. She is also in the top 10 in the league in batting average and third in homers in with 10.
 
Five Lions have at least 10 steals this season and Schaefer and Kinsie Hebler both rank in the top five in the conference in walks drawn.
 
Alyssa LeBlanc ranks fifth in the league with a 1.87 ERA and has a 14-6 record with three saves and 146 strikeouts with 39 walks. Emily Otto is 11-4 with a 2.76 ERA with 104 strikeouts against 33 walks.

Oklahoma Christian ranks second in the league with a .341 batting average, and the Eagles' 2.46 ERA is third in the conference. Kylie Janzen leads the league in slugging at .824 and is seventh in average at .429. Brianna Robinson leads the conference in on-base percentage at .562.
 
Kali Crnadall has been one of the nation's top pitchers this year with her 1.46 ERA ranking fourth in the conference, her .194 opponents' batting average third in the conference and 129 strikeouts third in the league.
 
On the series history…
The Lions and Eagles have met three times previously, with OC holding a 2-1 lead in the series. This is the first time the teams have met in OKC. The two sides split a doubleheader in conference play in Commerce in 2020.
