NEW ORLEANS – Following this weekend's NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, 18 members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce track and field team have been named All-Americans by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday afternoon.
Ushan Perera (Mahabage, Sri Lanka), the national champion in the high jump highlights a group nine male student-athletes that earned All-America status.
Delan Edwin (Castries, Saint Lucia) is named a first team All-America honors in all three events he competed at the national championships.
On the women's side,
Minna Svaerd (Karlstad, Sweden) also garnered three first team All-America honors, while
Mariana Shostak (Lviv, Ukraine) reached All-America status in two events.
