NEWTON, Kan. – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's golf team took 13
th at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational on Tuesday on the Sand Creek Station Golf Course.
"I am very proud of the way Chance played after struggling at Arkansas State last week, said coach
Brian Dolehide. "Collectively, we had some great moments out in Kansas. We have a lot to work on and that's exactly what we are going to do."
Wichita State picked up a three-stroke win in its home tournament over Seton Hall, while Oklahoma State's Rayhan Thomas, who competed as an individual, took the win with a score of 200. The Lions' team score of 875 was three strokes back of Drake for 12
th place.
Chance Mulligan (Dallas – Bishop Dunne) tied for 27
th with a score of 215 (72-70-73),
Sam Benson (Gilmer – New Diana) tied for 49
th with a score of 220 (73-71-76),
Seth Graber (Wylie) tied for 56
th with a score of 221 (77-73-71), while
Logan Johnson (Trophy Club – Byron Nelson) posted a score of 223 (75-75-73) to tie for 62
nd place, and
Balint Zavaczki (Nyíregyháza, Hungary) tied for 80
th place with a score of 231 (73-81-77).
UP NEXT
The Lions are right back in action next week at the Herb Wimberly Collegiate, hosted by New Mexico State, next Monday-Tuesday.
