NASSAU, Bahamas – Texas A&M University-Commerce high jumper Jenneil Jacobie has been selected to represent Saint Lucia at the Junior CARIFTA Championship next month.
 
Jacobie (Piat Gros Islet, Saint Lucia) will compete in the Girls Under 20 category on April 8-10 in Nassau. Her best collegiate mark in her freshman season thus far came at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships last month, when she cleared 5 feet 8.5 inches (1.74m) for third at the meet and set a new school record.
 
The Girls Under 20 High Jump event is scheduled for 9:10 a.m. local time on April 10 at the Thomas Robinson Stadium. This year's CARIFTA games are the 50^th edition of the competition, founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA).
