MONTGOMERY – The Texas A&M University-Commerce men's golf team is in 10^th place at the Walden Invitational, which is co-hosted by Sam Houston and Rice at the Walden on Lake Conroe Country Club.
 
Kittiphong Phaithuncharoensuk (Phuket, Thailand) is tied for 25^th with a score of 144 (71-73), Nathan McCulloch (Edinburgh, Scotland) is tied for 55^th with a score of 151 (75-76), while Chance Mulligan (Dallas – Bishop Dunne) is tied for 59^th with a score of 152 (72-80).
 
Corey Maher (Frisco) is tied for 72^nd place, posting a score of 155 (74-81) and Simon Haas (Lorch, Germany) had a 10-stroke improvement in the second round and is tied for 81^st place with a score of 160 (85-75).
 
Sam Houston recorded a team score of 565 to lead the tournament after 36 holes. The Bearkats hold a seven-stroke lead over North Alabama. Texas A&M's Phichaksn Maichon, who is competing as an individual, holds a one-stroke lead with a score of 138.
 
Haas is the first Lion to tee on Tuesday in the final round at 8:45 a.m., while Phaithuncharoensuk is in the final group of the tournament at 9:21 a.m. All five Lion golfers will begin their rounds on the 10^th hole.
