Justine Jimoh won the high jump event for the second week in a row, this time it was the 'B' section on Friday at the Texas Relays inside Mike A. Myers Stadium for the Texas A&M University-Commerce track & field team, who also competed inside the Texas State Track & Field Complex at the Bobcat Invitational.

Jimoh (Benin, Nigeria) entered at 6-7 (2.01m) and cleared it on the first try. He needed just one attempt to clear 7-1 (2.16m) as well, while Harding's Antiwain Jones also cleared 2.16m, but Jimoh was declared the winner of the 'B' section of the high jump based on fewest attempts. This is the second time in four years that a Lion won either the 'A' section or the 'B' section of the men's high jump.
The 4x100 meter relay squad of
Tyke Owens (Lebanon Trail),
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana),
Ibrahim Fuseini (Accra, Ghana), and
Oguz Uyar (Turkey) timed 40.50 seconds for 19
th place. Uyar was 27
th with a time of 10.384 seconds in the 100 meter dash timed final, while Owens was 29
th with a time of 10.393 seconds.
Celeste Sela (Mont de Marsan, France) jumped a wind-aided 19-9.5 (6.03m) for third in the 'B' section of the women's long jump.
Jordan Johnson (Guateng, South Africa) clocked in at 14.74 seconds in the men's 110 meter hurdles timed final.
The Lions' men's 4x400 meter relay squad of
Eddie Barrientes (Chisholm Trail), Fosuhene,
Ziphion Reevey (Ocean Township, N.J.), and
Philip Krenek (Kostelní Strimelice, Czech Republic) finished 36
th with a time of 3:17.82.

A day after running at the Texas Relays,
Analice Pursley (Georgetown Eastview) took 28
th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.40, which is a new personal-best.
Casey Novelo (Bedford – Trinity) finished 16
th in the 1,500 meter run with a personal-best time of 3:58.27, while
Nicholas Deutsch timed 3:59.54 for 21
st.
Both meets conclude on Saturday.
