COMMERCE – The 2025-26 East Texas A&M University basketball seasons tip-off on Monday with the Southland Conference Basketball Media Day on the Field of 68 Media Network.

The men's basketball portion of the day begins at 9 a.m. For the Lions, men's basketball coach
Jaret von Rosenberg and junior guard forward
Noah Pagotto (Wollongong, Australia) appear on the show at 11:40 a.m.
The women's basketball portion of the schedule is slated to start at 12:30 p.m. The Lion duo of coach
Valerie King and junior guard
Nina Horvath (Oberwart, Austria) appear on the show at 2 p.m.
The virtual event will showcase the Southland's competitive excellence at the mid-major level while underscoring the conference's momentum and stability amid a rapidly changing collegiate athletics landscape.

The Lion men and the women begin the regular season next Monday on the Hunt Regional Healthcare Court in the Field House. The Lion men host Arlington Baptist for Education Day presented by Signature Solar at 10:30 a.m. and the women host UNT Dallas at 2:30 p.m.

Prior to beginning the season, the Lions host the Lion Mania tip-off event on Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the Hunt Regional Healthcare court in the Field House and then the men welcome UT Dallas for an exhibition contest on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Admission for all fans is free on both days.
