BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Two East Texas A&M University women's golfers finished in the top 25 at The Lady Clerico at the Hillcrest Country Club this week.
 
The Lions' Marie Baertz (Luxembourg) and Linnea Olsson (Beddingestrand, Sweden) tied for 24^th place, both shooting a three-round score of 224. Olsson had a five-stroke improvement in the third round and climbed seven spots, while Baertz shot seven strokes better, rising 12 spots.
 
Abilene Christian's Ryann Honea secured the individual title, winning by five strokes over Timbre Shehee. Southern Miss won the team title by 11 strokes over Abilene Christian.
 
East Texas A&M's team score of 919 (314-308-297) was 10^th with Lamar taking ninth with a score of 914 and Northern Iowa finishing 11^th with a score of 928.
 
For the rest of the Lions, Marie Naeher (Neuenbuerg, Germany) took 49^th place with a score of 235 (82-74-79), Tais Moreno (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) scored 241 (86-79-76) to tie for 54^th place and Gimena Errecart (Mar Del Plata, Argentina) took 57^th place with a score of 243 (82-83-78).

The Lions are right back in action next Sunday-Tuesday at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Missouri.
