FRISCO – Following a career night, East Texas A&M University soccer goalkeeper
Veronica Pacione has earned Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Tuesday morning.
Pacione appeared in both wins for the Lions last week, recording three saves in 45 minutes in the 2-1 win over Grambling and followed it up with career-best nine saves in the 1-0 shutout win over Abilene Christian.
She is the first Lion to earn a weekly honor this season, and it is also her first career weekly honor. Last season, the Lions won three weekly awards from the Southland Conference.
The Lions return to action on Thursday against Tulsa at 7 p.m. for Faculty & Staff Appreciation night.
