Stephen Pearce is in his firstseason as an assistant coach for the Texas A&MUniversity-Commerce men’s basketball team.

Pearce comes from Collin County Community College where he was anassistant basketball coach for three seasons. He helped the Cougarsreach the Region V tournament in each of his three seasons andplayed an instrumental role in the program’s recruiting,scouting, strength and conditioning, player development, filmexchange and study hall. During his tenure at CCCC, the Cougarscompiled a 61-31 overall record.

During the summer of 2008, Pearce coached the Wylie High Schoolvarsity team and has been teaching private basketball lessons since2007. He also worked as a basketball referee from 2002-07officiating youth, high school and senior leagues.

Pearce earned his bachelor’s degree in businessadministration from the University of Texas at Dallas in the springof 2008, ranking in the top 10 percent in the business school. Hecompleted his associate’s degree from Collin County CommunityCollege in 2006 and graduate from Wylie High School in 2003.
