2016: Played in 11 games for the Lions… Helped block for the No. 1 scoring offense in the conference and the No. 1 passing offense in the conference… Part of the line that allowed the fewest sacks in the conference… Recorded a tackle against Western New Mexico (10/15).

2015: Appeared in nine games at offensive lineman as a junior. Recorded a tackle against Delta State (9/12).
 
2012 at Butte: Helped team finish 10-1 on the season as an offensive lineman … Team averaged 246.6 rushing yards per game.
 
2011 at Nevada: Did not see action as a freshman.
 
2010 at Nevada: Joined the team as a true freshman and redshirted his first season.
 
Prior to Collegiate Career: Was a three-year letter winner at Rancho Verde.
 
Personal: Born November 12, 1992… Son of Avery Poates Sr. and Melanie Ruffin… Has three older brothers, Dwayne, Donte and DeAndre… Wants to be a sports agent.
