The 2013-14 A&M-Commerce athletic season was filled with a handful of incredible moments, achievements and career milestones. Throughout the summer Lion Athletics will take a look back at the top 15 moments of the year, voted on by athletic administrators and local media members.Â
After falling in penalty kicks in the Lone Star Conference Tournament semifinals, the A&M-Commerce women's soccer team still qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.

The Lions earned the sixth seed in the South-Central region with a 11-5-2 record and traveled to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., to face third-seeded St. Edward's.

The Hilltopper's managed to scratch out a goal in the 55
th minute and kept the Lions off the board, despite a near miss in the game's final moments.
Still, the trip marked the fifth time the Lions have reached the NCAA Tournament, with the first appearance coming back in 1999. The Lions returned in 2003, 2004 and 2008. A&M-Commerce advanced all the way to the regional final in 2008 before falling to Truman, 2-1.Â
