NEW ORLEANS – Twenty-one student-athletes from the Texas A&M University-Commerce track & field teams are named to All-America teams presented by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Tuesday.
The Lions secured two top 10 finishes at the NCAA Division II Championships this weekend. The Lion men placed fourth at the meet, while the women placed eighth, their best finish. The five national champions from A&M-Commerce are most in program history and the three on the men's side were most for any program at the national meet.
Delan Edwin (Castries, Saint Lucia),
Cameron Macon (Dallas – Carter), and
J.T. Smith (Klein Oak) received All-America honors in multiple events, while
Minna Svaerd (Karlstad, Sweden) received multiple All-America honors on the women's side.
