WACO – Justine Jimoh won the high jump at the Clyde Hart Classic for the Texas A&M University-Commerce track & field team on Saturday at the Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium with a mark that puts him seventh in NCAA Division I thus far this season.

COACH PINCOCK'S THOUGHTS
On the men's side, the 4x100 meter relay squad of
Tyke Owens (Lebanon Trail),
Enoch Fosuhene (Accra, Ghana),
Kingsley Ayebide (Sapele, Nigeria), and
Oguz Uyar (Turkey) timed 40.15 seconds to finish as the runner-up. The time puts the Lions at 23
rd in the country thus far this season.
Jordan Johnson (Guateng, South Africa) finished ninth in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.84 seconds. Owens finished fifth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.58 seconds, while Fosuhene timed 10.61 seconds for seventh.
To close out the day on the track, the 4x400 meter relay squad of Uyar,
Ziphion Reevey (Ocean Township, N.J.),
Eddie Barrientes (Fort Worth – Timber Creek), and Fosuhene timed 3:15.69 for seventh.
In field events, Jimoh (Benin, Nigeria) cleared 7-0.25 (2.14m) for the win in the high jump. His mark is best in the Southland Conference and seventh in NCAA Division I thus far this season. Owens cleared 6-7 (2.01m) to tie for eighth, but placed 13
th based on attempts.
Tahje Tolliver (Picayune, Miss.) placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 48-2.5 (14.69m).
For the women,
Magdaline Campo (Haiti) cleared 5-6 (1.68m) in the high jump to finish in a nine-way tie for fourth, but was placed in a three-way tie for eighth based on attempts.
UP NEXT
The Lions compete at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational next week. The Texas Relays begin on Wednesday in Austin and the Bobcat Invitational begin on Thursday in San Marcos.
