FRISCO – Texas A&M University-Commerce high jumper
Justine Jimoh has been selected by the Southland Conference on Wednesday afternoon as the Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
Jimoh (Benin, Nigeria) jumped 7-1 (2.16m) to win the 'B' section of the high jump at the prestigious Texas Relays. He has won both events he has competed in his career and no other Division I high jumper has jumped higher than him in a meet. Jimoh's win at the Texas Relays was just the second win in either the 'A' or 'B' section of the high jump in three years.
He is ranked second in the Southland Conference and tied for 10
th in the country in the high jump. Jimoh is the first Lion to win an athlete of the week award in the outdoor season. A&M-Commerce had five honorees in the indoor season.

The Lions next compete on April 12-13 at the John Jacob Invitational in Norman, Oklahoma.
