FRISCO – For the second time in as many weeks, East Texas A&M University track and field sprinter
Ibrahim Fuseini has been voted as the Southland Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
Fuseini (Accra, Ghana) set the school record with a time of 6.51 seconds, while winning the 60 meter dash at the Jarvis Scott Invite. His time is also tops in the conference, top 10 in the country, and hit the World Athletics standard to qualify for the World Athletics Indoor Championships next month.
He has been named the SLC Men's Track Athlete of the Week twice this year and the Lions have earned five total weekly honors thus far this indoor season.
The Lions close out the regular season portion of the indoor season on Friday at the Arkansas Qualifier.
