East Texas A&M Athletic Hall of Fame
Chris DeLong graduated in May ‘85 from ET and was Hired by PepsiCo through the university on-campus placement program, Chris served as an executive there for two decades and retired as the Vice President of Sales for North America in 2018 after 33 years.
Originally from Wapakoneta, Ohio, Chris now resides in Frisco with Karol Ann, his wife of 38 years. Karol Ann’s family are proud fifth generation Sulphur Springs residents and continue to live and work there.
Chris has served on numerous university and community boards including the University Strategic Planning Committee, Champions Circle Advisory Board, Business School Leadership Council, and the Commerce Economic Development Council Board. He was appointed a Business School Alumni Ambassador in 2001. In 2021 Chris and Karol Ann created the DeLong Men’s Basketball Post Graduate Scholarship where they will continue to impact the lives of men’s basketball student athletes.
Chris and Karol Ann have two children and two grandchildren. Chaney is a graduate of Belmont University and lives with her husband Sam and their two children. Drew is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and Southern Methodist University and is a Principal at Kearney where he is the Global Lead of their Geopolitical Dynamics practice.
